Powder Butterfly Festive Events 2022

It's that time of year when we start to get excited about meeting you all face to face. And this year we are doing the most amazing Festive events. There is a wide variety all over the North East of England and each one has been carefully picked and planned to be a wonderful shopping experience.

October Events

Here is an overview of all of the events we are doing in October.

Just for You private shopping event 

The very first event we are doing is the 'Just for you' private shopping event at Great Park Community centre in Gosforth on the 15th of October. This event is a very special one and there is a spectacular collection of raffle prizes worth up to £800 up for grabs. The prizes are from big brands and local businesses such as Barbour, Spanish City, Beamish Museum, and we have popped some goodies into the raffle too. There are up to 20 local businesses that will be selling their quality products at the event. This is an event not to be missed, you will need to book here to secure your place. 

Living North Live 2022

The second event of the season is one of our biggest. This will be our first year back at the Christmas Living North Live event since lockdown. We thoroughly enjoyed attending the Spring event and our stand is going to be bigger and better than ever before. If you haven't been to Living North before it is well worth a visit to get you in the festive swing of things. 

Living North LIVE 2022 is the North East’s leading homes, gardens, shopping, food and lifestyle event. With stylish shopping, live demonstrations, talks and tastings, Living North LIVE brings you inspiring ideas for your home and garden, great gifts, delicious food and unique accessories that you won’t find anywhere else. Early bird tickets are £7, concessions are £6, tickets on the door are £9. We will also be giving away 7 FREE pairs of tickets so make sure you sign up to our mailing list, follow us on Instagram and Facebook. 

November Events

Here is an overview of all of the events we are doing in November.

Exclusive private shopping event - Powder Butterfly studio 

November is a jam packed month of events and our first one is super special. It is an opportunity to have an exclusive private shopping experience at the Powder Butterfly studio. See behind the scenes and check out how Corinne creates the artwork for each location. She will provide a live demonstration of her techniques, there will be an opportunity to enter our prize draw and there is a free gift for everyone that attends the event, as well as some exclusive discounts and refreshments.

We will also be joined by the Uber talented Silverkupe jewellery and Bernicia Candles. They will have their very own special offers, free gifts, discounts and refreshments too. 

Tickets are free but booking is essential. There are three 1 hour slots that you can book here. Make sure you book your tickets today as we have very limited spaces for this event. 

Community Christmas Market

We are so delighted to be part of the Kind Currency Club Community Christmas Market. This event has been organised by the super talented, celebrity wedding planner Michelle Jones, who is the founder of Kind Currency Club. Kind Currency Club is all about making our communities stronger and more resilient. This event promises to get you right into the festive spirit, there is so much to look forward to for all the family: Story time with Mrs Claus, wreath making, a Christmas Choir, Festive treats and a market with loads of amazing local businesses that will help you shop small, shop local and shop kind.

In these tough times we could all do with a little more kindness in our communities, so come along and get into the festive spirit at the Gosforth Civic Theatre. 

Ouseburn Open Studios

Moving into a studio on the Ouseburn Valley has been a wonderful experience. And it's so exciting to be part of my first Christmas event as part of the Ouseburn Festival. There will be lots of other studios open on the 26th of November and it promises to be a wonderful creative and fun event. Come and visit the studio holders of B Box Studios to see behind the scenes of this creative community. 

December Events

After a very business October and November, December has a couple of events planned that we are super excited about. Below is an overview of what you can look forward to.

Make More Stuff curated market

We are very excited to have secured a space at the Make More Stuff market at Baltic Centre of contemporary art. This venue is one of our favourites and features in our products so it will be wonderful to be at this iconic venue. 

 Meet the Maker event 

Our final event of the year is at the wonderful Land of Oak and Iron heritage centre. As part of their meet the maker programme we will be there showcasing our products for one day. After this event our founder Corinne will be putting her feet up for a well deserved rest.
